I might do something special for this but late. But I at least wanted to acknowledge the day. It kind of snuck up on me. Five years. Half a decade. If this was a wedding the traditional gift would be something made of wood. The modern is silverware. I could use some new knives haha. Trying to think of something interesting made of wood also. There are a lot of things to choose from. And no that's not an innuendo.
Also the gemstone for 5 years is Sapphire, and the flower is a Daisy.
I filmed a bunch of videos today, so if you're not following my on YouTube you should be (I rarely actually post the videos here), they'll be posted hopefully soon. Instagram is another great place to be following me, I post other stuff that doesn't make it here, or might not fit as well here, there. I really do appreciate my followers, whether here or IG, or YT, or any platform in which you follow me, I thank you. You mean a lot to me <3
Also my last year anniversary post shared some then and now (or well a year ago) photos, if you never saw that post, check it out HERE.

4 Year Blogiversary!!!
haha so some of these things are not like the others. These first three insanely awful ugly shots are from a month and two months into having this blog. They are from Sept/Oct 2010. The rest are from the Summer of 2014.
So I am posting these atrocities to show how far I have come. And I have come a longgggggg way.
I don't even know what I was thinking (or who let me out of the house). Beyond I was experimenting and learning. And that this was the start of a journey.
I'd really liked makeup before I started this blog, but this blog has been a journey and a journey starts with a single step. These are some of those. This blog is when my like, went to love, went to passion. Went to being serious. Went to improving.
And improve I have.
Improve I most certainly I have.
I still am learning.
I still can do better.
But I have come a long way.
And I should be proud of that.
My life has changed immensely in four years. Sometimes I've looked back at photos (personal and blog) over this time period and I wonder if I'm even the same person. I mean clearly I am, but sometimes I look at that person from four years ago and I wonder who she is.
In those four years I have lost, and I have won.
I got out of a long term relationship of five years.
I deserved better.
I dated.
I forged new relationships.
I moved.
I choose to live on my own.
(with my children (cats)).
I started modeling for indie cosmetic companies.
I have had crisis and I have persevered.
I may still be in the thick of some things but I will come out the other side somehow, because I always do. And I always will.
And since this is my blogs anniversary there will be a giveaway, it will be posted later, but it's a good one. Stay tuned for that.
And I want to also take a moment to be grateful for all of the wonderful people I have met in the beauty world. To think without makeup we wouldn't have met, that would be a sad sad thing. Sparkles have brought us together.
I am thankful to know you.
And I am also thankful for my readers and followers, you mean so much to me.
Thank you for staying with me thru the good and the bad. <3

3 Year Blogaversary And 500th Post - TIME FOR A GIVEAWAY!
Today is a special day people.
Today is my 3 year blogaversary, but wait, there's more, this is also my 500th post. When I realized they would be close to occurring at the same time I did my best to make them collide. And when they collided, something special happened.
Let's get to it! Before I get all mushy about how far I feel I've come with beauty and what not since I started blogging. I do want to thank everyone who's stuck with me over the years, I appreciate you all so much. I'm actually feeling a little misty. And I just accidentally wrote musty, that's a slightly different feeling.
These five full size 5g shadows are the prizes for this giveaway! Pictures are by Notoriously Morbid and I want to thank her for sponsoring this lovely giveaway with five of her new shadows, are they not gorgeous? They totally are, and I adore her shadows.
Here's how to enter:
This is a giveaway to US residents only - sorry international followers.
Also you must be 18 years or older.
This giveaway will run for one month.
a Rafflecopter giveaway

Outbreak Of The Epic Undead Zombie Princess...
I have quite a bit to mention in this post, or more than usual anyway.
You may also notice I'm being photobombed by one of my cats Leo in the first shot.
First, I dyed my hair, I got Revlon's Luxurious Colorsilk Buttercream dye in Burgundy from Klout to try. I really liked it. I was intending to go back to something close to my real color (which is really dark brown, almost black) at some point soon, but now I'm kind of torn because I also really love this shade. Well time will tell. Any thoughts? Maybe you can suggest a color you'd think look good on me.
Now as for the makeup.
EYES:
Wet N Wild's eyeshadow primer I'm pretty sure if the one I used here.
Tick Tock's Outbreak Of Epic Proportions, Undead Princess, and Zombie Guts.
Eye Liner is Elf.
Mascara is Avon Super Extend in Black Amethyst.
LIPS:
Lipstick is Milani Sangria.
NAILS:
The red is Sally Hansen's Cherry Red - like the perfect red.
The gray is Sally Hansen's Wet Cement.
I tried doing little hearts on the gray with the red for Valentine's Day, it wasn't perfect but I thought they were super cute.
Up close shot of the eye makeup, and a wayward hair.
And below is maybe a better picture of the nails I took while I was reading on my Nook - I did get a new case for it off ebay, yay for purple.
Also this is my 400th post on my blog which is kind of epic, I want to do a special post for it but I haven't gotten to yet, so hopefully sometime in the very near future I will knock that out.
