Even More Empties...

- I have even more empties to share today.

Two of these (or three? I can't remember if the nail polish remover was on there too.) were from my Project Pan.   The body wash and the EOS were.

I loved that body wash sample from Ahava, I just got it the other day, it was lovely.   The shampoo/conditioner smell reminded me of a Fuzzy Navel for some reason.

Then the laundry drops I got from Birchbox.

And nail polish remover.  I need to go buy more on the double.

Project Pan UPDATE - One Month.

- I'm just past my one month mark.   Here are my empties.  The deodorant wasn't on my original list but I finished it so I included it.

Here is my original entry with a photo of the products. CLICK.

I have another travel size shampoo I'm going to work on next and I have more samples to work on.   When I started working on the travel shampoos (why do they never give travel conditioner as samples half the time?) I started using a new Organix conditioner I wanted to try, so I might put a nice little dent in it too when I'm not clearing out samples.

I also came across a gel deodorant I had that'll expire in May so I'm working my way through that.   And for a hand lotion I'm using an EOS.

I haven't finished everything in this Project Pan, but I've got some good dents in the eye make up remover and the body wash.   And the EOS balm is just about gone, or getting close.   I was sick for a good part of this month and it's been hectic so I haven't worn a lot of make up this month so no big dent in the palette.   The eye primer is feeling emptier but I can't really tell entirely how far down it is.  Also I have been using quite a bit of the base coat I've been using.

I'm not sure how I want to proceed with my Project Pan.   And my partner has gone MIA, I hope she's okay.  I think I won't confine myself to the palette but I am going to keep working on some of the products like the base coat, make up remover, body wash, primer, mascara.   And I'm going to keep working on getting rid of whatever travel size hair stuff I have and samples.

I did not truly succeed with not buying anything, I did buy some make up, but I think I did better with not shopping, but now I need to stop, I need to stop as much as I can, truly.   Something bad has come up, which I think I will be posting about soon, I'm thinking of doing a fundraiser for it, which I'll share on here if I do, stay tuned.

Nails Currently And Project Pan Update.

 - Just a couple camera phone shots (admittedly I seldom use this phone for a camera because it's not a very good one at all, but these didn't look too bad), this is Wet N Wild's Wet Cement which I'd meaning to try since I got it, and I love it.   The accent nail is Orly Star Spangled.
- Also Project Pan Update: I finished off a deodorant (even tho it wasn't on my original pan list I put it with my empties anyway) and the lotion from my list.  Yay!   Still haven't made any big dents on the palette or liner but admittedly I haven't worn a lot of make up lately.  I fail, I know.   Considering I think I only have a week left before my month mark.  Then I decide how I want to proceed.  And I also admit I haven't been perfect on my no buy, but I knew from the get go I wouldn't be.  But I do believe I have shopped less, so that's at least something.

Project Day 10.

 - Today I wore Madd Style Cosmetics in Cocoa Puffs and Poison Berry I believe it was (Thank you Joe for my presents.) with the white from the palette.
This didn't photograph very well.

And I forgot to put on mascara before taking pictures, but I did afterwards.
 - I kind of changed my hair around a bit right now too.

I was testing the "ultra violet" out to see what it'd do over the green, I'm having some love/hate going on atm, idk what I want to do with it right now.
 - You can kind of see a new necklace I bought off ebay, I got the pendant for less than 2 dollars, with free shipping (from the states so it got here super fast), I love it.
- Here were my nails today too.
The majority of my nails are Spoiled "I Don't Drink Cheap Wine" and the ring finger is by Spoiled as well but it's "Bite Me".

In another note about my Project Pan, I haven't worn make up for nearly a week so I feel I'm not doing very well towards hitting pan since I've been so sick.  But I did finish off my shampoo now as well, so it joined the conditioner.  The next thing I'll probably finish is the lotion.  I'm pretty far down on the make up remover as well.

Project Day 5.

 - Just a full face.  Blah.  I'm not feeling good today.
 - This was a really odd angle for my eye, and it's my left eye with my psychotic eyebrow, instead of my right eye that I normally take pics of.
- This is the normal Elf primer, Loreal mascara, and the the lighter blue and white from the palette but I mixed in another shadow, Jordana in Alter Ego.  It was the second Jordana shadow I've tried.  I tried Ms. Brown yesterday (with the palette) but I didn't get pictures yesterday or the day before (when I did the bronzey/browns from the palette).   I really liked both Jordana shades I tried.  And I know Kmart is clearancing some, so you might want to check that out if you want to try them too or just want some new ones.

Update On The Project:
I did end up finishing off my conditioner yesterday, and tomorrow I'll probably finish the shampoo.  So yay for finishing something.

First Day Of The Project...

 - So I used that eyeshadow palette on my products list (as well as the Elf primer and Loreal mascara).  The colors look better in person, as they always do, but I was happy with the colors I used, with the payoff they gave.
 - I used pink, purple, sparkly black, and white.

- You can also kind of see a cute bracelet I got off ebay in these shots too.

Project Pan/Shop Your Stash/Try Not To Buy Anything.

Okay so me and my friend Alexandra are going to do a type of Project Pan.
We're going to start on Friday I think.

Here is a list of the items I have picked:
  1. Absolute! Eyeshadow Palette - 12 Colors
  2. Sally Hansen Hard As Nails (Using As A Nail Polish Base Coat)
  3. Vaseline Lotion
  4. Wet N Wild Coloricon Pencil Eyeliner In Black Black
  5. John Frieda Full Repair Shampoo
  6. John Frieda Full Repair Conditioner
  7. EOS Lip Balm In Sweet Mint
  8. Philosophy Body Wash in Happy Birthday!
  9. Elf Eyeshadow Primer
  10. Loreal Voluminous False Lashes Mascara
  11. Clean And Clear Eye Makeup Remover
I ended up with 11 items instead of say 10.
Here's kind of what I'm thinking we'll do this for a month and then regroup and see where we want to go from there and see how our progress is.

I expect to for sure use at least half of these items, if not more.   I also have an idea for what to do when I've used some of them up, like say the shampoo/conditioner I have a bunch of mini bottles I've gotten as freebie/samples and I think I'll work my way through using them after these to try and get rid of some of them since I don't travel much and don't need a bunch of them taking up space other things could be in.  I also have other body washes and lotions I can work on making my way through next.  Same with base coats and eye primers, and EOS.

And okay, other rules I'm thinking of.
  • I can buy limited edition things, and depending on the item maybe I won't use it and save it as a reward.
  • And while I am using an eye palette as one of my items, I am not required to use just that, I can use other eyeshadows with my look as long as I use something from this palette.
  • Also I've never really used this palette it's brand new.  I'm going to add a loophole in, if it's the worst piece of crap ever that won't work for anything I can swap it out for a different palette.   But I will do my best with this one.
  • And whatever shopping I do for my swaps I'm already in will not count against me and whatever I get for my swap won't count against me either.

This is my first Project Pan of any kind.  I have tried a no buy before which didn't work very well.   I know I probably won't do perfectly on this (is it wrong I'm already thinking that?  I think I'm being more of a realist than anything I know me.) but I will try.  And I don't expect to use every item entirely in a month, but I'd like to make a good dent in what I don't finish.

And here's a photo of my products:
