Eradicate H8!

Image from SoFlaJo Eradicate H8 Blogpost
Bullying is not funny. It is not cool. It is not right. And more importantly, it is not okay. …
Most of us are, thankfully, residents of countries that support tolerance and many of our families have settled in these places simply for that reason. Generations later, it is our responsibility to perpetuate that message of tolerance across our new social platforms, including the internet.
As members of the nail polish blogging community, we all share a love of beauty, color, and lacquer. Other than that, we are remarkably different: from our race to our religion to our hair color…even to our polish application techniques.
To marginalize anyone because of those differences is completely unacceptable and today I take a stand against that. I refuse to allow other people’s view of “normal” dictate how I behave, believe, and blog. In solidarity with a multitude of bloggers linked below, my purple manicure represents my proud commitment to the No H8 movement.
Today, November 8, I dedicate my post to ending bullying of any kind and to encouraging diversity and imperfection among our colorful community.

 - For this manicure I used Spoiled's Checkin' Into Rehab, which I thought was super pretty.
- And this is probably the type of photo that would have gotten me mean comments because my lack of clean up is even more apparent in this photo.  But it shouldn't be about a not flawless application (because please, "I have no flaws, at all." said no one ever, or well if they did say it they were totally lying because we all have our flaws and they should not be held against us in anyway.) it should be about beauty and things that make us happy and give us joy.

Let us stop the bullying:

Tick Tock Love!

To commemorate today I wore Tick Tock's Midnight Magic, Salvador Dali, and Midsummer Night with Once Upon A Time as a highlight.  I did some TheBodyNeeds mixing medium with some of them, and Revlon's Emerald liner, Urban Decay mascara.  And lips are NYC Special FX lipstick in Hot Tamale.

What's today you ask?  Well I found out I'll get to be one of the new models for Tick Tock!!!  How epic and amazing is that?  I cannot tell you how excited I am for this.

 - I am so in love with this necklace, it's from Luxe Chimere.
- Also new adorable sunglasses from Ebay, they were like 7 dollars, I probably could have got them cheaper, but I couldn't wait long for the shipping time with moving, and these were from a local seller.

Sugarpill And Concrete...

 - This is a look I did on Saturday for a meet up <3   It was a morning get together so this might have been a bit dark but I liked the way it turned out anyway.
I used:

BROWS:
Essence Eyebrow Designer in Brown.

EYES:
Stila Prime Pot in Caramel.

Sugarpill's Dollipop in the inner corners (which also stained me.).
Concrete Mineral's Revolver just a touch in the middle.
Concrete Mineral's Sabotage with TheBodyNeeds mixing medium for the rest of the outside corners.
Lashes were Urban Decay Big Fatty mascara.

LIPS:
Concrete Mineral's Sexy Lips Lip Tint in Maniac.

 - Then I did try and take a few outside too to better show the makeup, you can certainly see the lip tint better outside than in, it was more noticable in person, I really liked it, it was my first time using one of the lip tints from Concrete.

And you can't really see the jacket but I adore this jacket.
 - Random yay for cute bat necklace <3

Influenster Bride To Be VoxBox!

This is my Influenster Bride To Be Vox Box!  I should have posted it sooner, I'm sorry about that.  I haven't gotten to try anything in it yet, I was kind of waiting til I got a picture taken and could post this.   So I will trying some of it very soon.  I'm most excited about the hair products, although I wish the conditioner was the bigger one in the pair.  I always run out of conditioner before shampoo anyway so that's kind of unhelpful.  And I just wore some lashes yesterday, I'm excited for more lashes, I really want to get better at putting them on and wearing them more.  Although I haven't heard the best things about these lashes with the string but I can't speak for them personally.  It'd be awesome if they worked out and were 5 times faster and easier, time will tell.
I don't know if the gum or water will do much for me, I think with how stressed I am atm I'd at least have to eat the whole package.

Empties And A Update...

- I had more than this, if you cut what you see here in half, and then add that to this you'd probably have close to what I'd had before.  I'd taken a picture of what else I had but I lost the photo and had thrown the empties out after I took the shot.  Kind of upsets me but oh well.  You get the idea, I had a lot.   And I might have even missed a few empties in the bathroom since I have an odd number of bottles without their matches.   I have some more that will probably be empty soon too.   I wanted to get this picture taken so I can throw these out now.  And I've been meaning to post more.  It's been a seriously hectic few months, my mom had surgery, was in the hospital, clearing out a 20x30 foot storage unit, fighting to move, a lot of paperwork, and issues with a awful lying landlord, etc.  But that will soon be behind me, I am approved to move and should be moving the 1st of December.  I'm probably still going to be scarce this next month with downsizing, throwing stuff out, packing stuff up, but once I'm moved and settled, I hope to get back on track with my blogging, because it is important to me.

In a side note, since I did Project Pan, I have not bought any shampoo or conditioner.  I've been using packets I've gotten, samples, travel bottles etc (that I either got as samples or friends gave me theirs randomly).   Which means this next month will be one year since I actually bought any.  And I was trying to do the math to see how much money I've saved, the shampoo and conditioner I was using equaled out to about 13 dollars every time I bought it, I'm not sure how fast I went thru it but they weren't the biggest bottles so let's say every 2 months, that equals out to almost 80 dollars in this last year.   That's kind of amazing in a way.  Yay.

Look At Me!

- These are some new polishes I'm trying, the brand is Color Mates, have you seen them?  They seem to be at Dollar Trees, they're pretty nice, I've liked all the ones I've tried.  The two I'm wearing here are "Look At Me!" and the accent is "Purplesque", and they're brighter in person.   Can't beat them for a buck, I have about 12 of them so far, check your local Dollar Trees!

And I want to apologize for my absence lately.  I've had a really hard last few months, and I'm not totally thru the storm yet, and I want to thank my followers/readers who have stayed with me, and even a few new ones I got along the way while I was gone.   I'm really going to do my best to update here more often.  I never stopped loving beauty and trying new things when I could, I just failed at posting.

Riveting...

- I'm glad I took a chance on this polish.  I am not a orange girl but this polish was just so glowly I had to have it, and I am in love with it.  And I've gotten compliments on it the first day I wore it yay.

China Glaze - Riveting.

Pink And Purple Swirls...

- This was going to be a ziplock bag mani but it failed as that and to try and save it I tried doing a drag marble.  I think my problem with the ziplock mani was my base polish so I'll try again some other time.

- I really liked how my thumb turned out.

The polishes were:
Purple - China Glaze - Coconut Kiss
Pink - Nina Ultra Pro - Fuchsia Rage
My base color was Revlon Powder Puff.

Sorry I've been slack in my posts, just a lot going on, I do have stuff to post, just can't seem to motivate myself at all right now and I'm sorry.

MOAR Empties!

- More recent empties for the trash.  Working my way through more shampoo/conditioner samples.  My friend Aaron and his mom gave me a bunch more in my birthday package and some of these came from there (Thank you Aaron and Debbie), I probably have enough now that I don't have to buy shampoo or conditioner all summer which is pretty awesome!

Then I also finally finished the Clean % Clear from my Project Pan, I miss it dearly though, I'm not 100% that they still make it, but if they do I'm going to need to get some sometime in the future.  I'm using the Wet N Wild make up remover and I do not like it.  Also the body wash by Clean & Clear was awesome I wouldn't mind a full size of that one.  <3

I Only Eat Matte Salads...

- This is Spoiled's I Only Eat Salads, but then I used the Hard Candy matte top coat on it.  I've been feeling mattes lately.

It's sort of an ugly pretty, but I always like those.

Women Of Rock Challenge!

Taken From Google Image Search.
- Okay so this week's challenge was Women Of Rock, and the women I picked aren't necessarily "Rock" but they're what I ended up choosing.  The first being Adele.  It wasn't perfect but I did like how it and the photos turned out <3
 - I know for this look the shadows are all from the Shady Lady palettes by TheBalm.  The lipstick was Revlon Baby Pink.  Liner is Physicians Formula and a Loreal HIP one.  And I'm wearing Maybelline Falsies.
 - What do you mean it's a faux pas to wear your hair as a scarf?

Taken From Google Image Search.
 - The next woman I choose since I couldn't choose just one lol was Gwen.   It also wasn't perfect, my lip color was just a bit off.
 - I'm using a WnW matte black as well as Madd Style Cosmetix shadow in Dr. Franken Furter.  And NB Mineral Shadow in Seductive.  I also used Physician's Formula liner and the Loreal HIP one.  Maybelline Falsies mascara again.  Lipstick is WnW Cherry Bomb.

I feel I'm also paying homage to MissChievous here without meaning to at the time or realizing it.  But she's amazing too.

Sally Girl Neon Makeup Brushes!

- For those of you swinging by Sally's in the near future they currently have Sally Girl makeup brushes, in neons and they're super adorable!  I think they had one other color which was a yellow/green I think?  And they did have a powder brush and a foundation brush too.  I just got the eyeshadow brushes and a baby kabuki because it was just the cutest thing in the world.   They're 99 cents each and I think they're a limited time only thing, so you might want to step on it!

Small Haul.

Click to make me bigger!
- Little haul from a bit ago.  Just finally getting around to sharing.  I have some other 'hauls' to post soon but they're birthday presents - my birthday is on Monday!

The green yellow polish you see is coming up in a future post too, wearing it right now.

Empties For The Trash...

- Some more empties for the trash.
Mainly all hair stuff with the exception of the one Ahava lotion, which was amazing, and I totally want a full size, I loved the smell soooo much.   But it's a little more than I normally would spend on lotion, so I haven't gotten any, and I'm sure I have plenty of lotion I should use up first (although my birthday is in 2 weeks pretty much so anyone thinking of a present for me haha)

I did not like the smell of the Fructis.   The Nexxus was nice, but I feel I should have skipped the leave in because it just made my hair feel eh.  I really didn't like the TRESemme either, it also didn't make my hair feel good - I still have one use left in the shampoo bottle, so expect to see it in the next empties post.   And the Fekkai's were nice too.

Influenster Spring Beauty VoxBox!

- I haven't had a chance to post about this late, so I'm probably the last person to do so, but I was sooo excited to get my first VoxBox!   I got the Spring Beauty VoxBox, which is a really fitting one for my first box.

I got Twilight Woods body spray, Dr. Scholl's high heel inserts, Sheer Cover concealer, Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Wild Child, Aveeno, Chapstick, and a SoyJoy bar.   You can expect some more posts about some of these products coming soon.

Until then I highly urge and suggest everyone to hop on over to Influenster and sign up for the site, it's a pretty awesome site.   I should probably try and explain a VoxBox to those who are unaware, it's a box you get for free (if you qualify for that box, they do different kinds) with items to review and try out.

Birchbox and MyGlam should really take a lesson from Influenster if you ask me.

Cutest Samples...

- These are just some of the most adorable samples I've gotten lately, aren't they the cutest?  I'm using them right now, so they'll probably be in my next empties post but I wanted to show you how cute they were.

You can kind of see my Color Club Bloom skittles I was rocking before here too, see them better HERE.

This is also my 370th post, that feels kind of amazing and epic.

Current Nails...

 - This is what I'm currently rocking.   I decided to try the MyGlam nail stickers as an accent nail.  They're sooo long, idk who's talons they were made for.   You can't even tell they're hearts anymore cause my nails weren't long enough.   Maybe I'll have to try and get creative with the way I cut the rest of them.
- The rest of my nails are OPI's Kiss Me On My Tulips, then I got bored and decided to jazz it up by lightly sponging WnW's Silvivor on top of it.

Also I think it's interesting that I did this on Thursday night I think it was and my polish is perfect still and the stickers are showed wear and tear almost immediately for me.

Singularity...

 - in NTMS the weekly challenge was VIDEO GAMES! Yay.  I had a really hard time choosing what to use as inspiration.  I actually had Joe help me on this one - and I narrowed it down to two games - Bioshock and Singularity, can you guess which she picked?  Singularity it was.  I'd already used Bioshock as inspiration before for Halloween that one year so this was different.

She did my eyes, I mostly did my lips.

She used a ton of stuff.  No primer, she mixed the shadows with lotion.
She used Kat Von D palette, Aromaleigh shadows, Jane shadow and her 120 palette.  She used her gel liner.  Maybelline Falsies mascara.

She also did my brows, as if you couldn't tell lol

 - I used Rimmel Airy Fairy for the first time, put some Essence gloss on top of that and then mixed in some pigments - or tried to, it was my first time doing that.

Color Club Blossoming 2012 Collection...

- This is a skittle mani using Color Club's Blossoming collection, using all the colors except the flakie one.
- I think it's super cute, I really like it.

I just decided to take a few pics (off and on) stuck in traffic.

Freebie Bag And Samples...

- This was just a freebie I caught on Tampax (or Always?) facebook page, I'm glad I got in on it, cause the bag is adorable.   And samples/coupons are awesome too.  I just wanted to share this cause I thought the bag was so cute.

May MyGlam Bag.

- This is the MyGlam May bag I won!   They didn't want to acknowledge that I won to start with, many emails had to be sent and they weren't exceptionally nice to start with.   I had to go through two different people to finally get what I rightfully won.  And then it was shipped out later than everybody else's (tho they seem to have more shipping issues this month, again.) so I had to wait longer giving me plenty of time to witness all sorts of ugly going on on their facebook page to do with the lipsticks.   I opened my lipstick box being like "Don't be ugly, don't be ugly, don't be ugly.".  The boy liked it, I'm ehhh on it, I did see a okay swatch of it, so maybe I can make it work.  They certainly weren't spring/summer colors, I might wait til closer to fall to rock it, I am excited to try a new brand though.  And I now have all the brushes to complete my pouch, the make up bag is cute, I'm kind of up in the air on the cuteness though, I think the sheen throws me off, and a youtuber said it's the kind of material where if you get it wet it seems to stain (which is such a stupid material for a make up bag, am I right?) I got a drop or two of water on it and she seems to be entirely right.   The nail bling I'm curious to try, maybe as accent nails, although the packaging makes me think of something on ebay for a penny bid to start.   I hope they stick well.   And the perfume, I haven't smelled this yet but I adore Philosophy so much, so I'm sure I'll love it.   The "Love Is In The Air" theme always as other bloggers/youtubers said is a bit more Valentine's Day than anything, which seems off in May.  The bag did reek to high heavens, which seems to be the norm now, I waved the bag under the boy's nose, he has an abnormal sense of smell, he gagged.

edit:
I probably sound really ungrateful and awful in this post, but I was just very frustrated after all the falderal, and yes I did win this bag but I paid for months and months of bags before that.  So sorry if I sound horrible, just being honest (in my own opinion anyway).

Take A Peek...
