Catwoman...

Everything went wrong the evening I did this, I tried doing a layered lip that just wasn't quite right, my eyes started trying to crease which is rare.   My dress zipper broke.  Then it was a mad scrabble trying to figure out what to wear instead of the dress with like no time to figure it all out in.  Oy.

I did this look with Catwoman in mind, ala Michelle Pfeiffer.  Because to me she is the only Catwoman.   You may be wondering why I was doing Catwoman, this month's challenge was Super Heroes with Tick Tock, but I couldn't think of a Hero I wanted to be, so I went with Catwoman who I suppose is more of a villain   But a lovely one at that.   So I will admit this isn't quite up to snuff, it was better in my head, but that happens to the best of us, right?

BROWS:
Avon Perfect Brow pencil.

EYES:
Wet N Wild eyeshadow primer.
Tick Tock's Black Hole base.
Tick Tock shadows in I'll Sleep When I'm Dead and Once Upon A Time.
Elf liner.
Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara.

LIPS:
Wet N Wild's Mega Last liquid lip color in Cherry On Top, then I didn't think it was dark enough so I thought I'd layer OCC Black Dahlia on top of it. Bad Bad idea, layering on top of the long wear lipstick was just full of fail.  So my lips are a bit of a hot mess.  Sorry :/   But now I know not to try and layer over the WnW liquid lip colors.  That's for sure.

Just Throw Some Glitter In The Air...

 This is my glittery look for NTMS challenge this week, I'm a glitterball in person but the camera just can't capture it.

Brows:
Essence's brow pencil.

Eyes:
Elf Eyeshadow primer in Golden.
Elf Lustrous shadows in Confetti, Celebration, and Party.  
Elf Precision liner in Black.
Urban Decay Big Fatty mascara.

Lips:
Physicians Formula lipgloss/stain in Red.

 And these were end of the night photos so it's not quite as pristine as it once was.

Women Of Rock Challenge!

- Okay so this week's challenge was Women Of Rock, and the women I picked aren't necessarily "Rock" but they're what I ended up choosing.  The first being Adele.  It wasn't perfect but I did like how it and the photos turned out <3

 - I know for this look the shadows are all from the Shady Lady palettes by TheBalm.  The lipstick was Revlon Baby Pink.  Liner is Physicians Formula and a Loreal HIP one.  And I'm wearing Maybelline Falsies.

 - What do you mean it's a faux pas to wear your hair as a scarf?

 - The next woman I choose since I couldn't choose just one lol was Gwen.   It also wasn't perfect, my lip color was just a bit off.

 - I'm using a WnW matte black as well as Madd Style Cosmetix shadow in Dr. Franken Furter.  And NB Mineral Shadow in Seductive.  I also used Physician's Formula liner and the Loreal HIP one.  Maybelline Falsies mascara again.  Lipstick is WnW Cherry Bomb.

I feel I'm also paying homage to MissChievous here without meaning to at the time or realizing it.  But she's amazing too.

Don't Get Strung Out By The Way I Look...

- I'm in a group on Facebook that does weekly challenges, this week is Rocky Horror, now I feel I was like born to be Frank-N-Furter, so of course that's who I tried doing.  This was just a test run, I'm glad it was because now I know what I need to do differently, the shadows need to be a bit different blacks, there was too much silver in these.  His lips were more bright red and juicy.   And I didn't have any kind of white face make up, so I bought the lightest foundation I could, but it still isn't white enough, one of the girls told me a trick to mix baby powder with the foundation and I'll achieve the look.  I'm going to try that next time.

I did have fun doing this, and I'm going to do it again because I want to perfect more, I might also try doing some of the other characters too.

30 Day Untried Challenge...

Okay, I kind of failed at the challenge, with the holiday and the busy weekend I failed.  But honestly I don't entirely consider it a failure since pretty much everything I posted before I was doing it and the majority of which I intend to post soon are all untrieds.  So I'd been doing an untried challenge for months lol

So I have posts I intend to do soon, more swatches/mani's and hauls.  I need to post some nail mail too.  And I bought and order stuff on Black Friday and Cyber Monday so I already have things to post, and things coming to post.

I'll probably have upcoming eBay finds to post too when I get them.  I've been doing a lot of my Christmas shopping on eBay.  And admittedly getting a few things for myself too, I can't help it, some things are just too cute.

30 Day Untried Challenge - Day 24 - Rococo A-Go-Go + Black Pearl.

- These are my Black Friday nails (no clean up).

I used Orly Rococo A-Go-Go and Wet N Wild Fantasy Makers in Black Pearl for the accent with L.A. Colors Art Deco striper in Silver Glitter.

- When I told my gay husband Aaron I was doing Black Friday nails he told me I should glue little razor blades under my nails lol love him.

30 Day Untried Challenge - Day 23 - Lincoln Square Lavender + Mega Watt.

- This is NYC Lincoln Square Lavender and the accent is LA Colors Mega Watt.

I really love the Lincoln Square Lavender but I'm not sure it was perfect with my skin tone, thoughts?

I thought I had real pictures of this but apparently I didn't take any, fail, at least I did get some even if it was just with my camera phone...

- And I'd been wanting one of the hats with the flaps for the ears. You'd think I'd own one I'm a Minnesotan but alas I did not. And I found a cute one at the dollar store, yay. Although I still want one of the cute hat/scarf combo things at Target...

30 Day Untried Challenge - Day 22 - Revlon Violet.

- I am in love with this purple. I had a couple dollar off coupons for Revlon, one was a Target coupon, the other a manufacturer one, and I used them together and got this for a couple dollars (then they printed me out another 2 dollar coupon which is what I used when I got Revlon First Class, I love coupons). And I'm really glad I did.

- This is a great purple, is you love purples like I do I suggest picking this one up.

 And please ignore the random bits of blue glitter on my fingers, I did a layering combo with glitter after these photos, which I'm not sure if I'll share yet or not.

30 Day Untried Challenge - Day 21 - Jesse's Girl Mermaid Lagoon.

- This is another polish I got from Sonia.

It's Jesse's Girl Mermaid Lagoon. I love it. It's a teal with gold shimmer. Gorgeous.

In the first two photos the accent nail is Love & Beauty Champagne Toast, but this mani was too similar to another I've done so I changed it.

- So pretty.

- The accent nail here is China Glaze Concrete Catwalk.

30 Day Untried Challenge - Day 20 - Funky Fingers Curacao

- I did a trade with a lovely girl named Stacy and she was kind enough to send me a Funky Fingers polish because I don't have any access to them here.

This is Funky Fingers Curacao, which is suppose to be a dupe for Color Club Wicked Sweet I think.

And I'm sorry if the photo is sideways I keep trying to fix it and it won't fix, bad photo bad.

- I'm also wearing a polish on my accent nail I got from Sonia it's a Jesse's Girl polish in Blue Moon (No, no Jesse's Girl people it should be Purple Moon.), it had a really weird finish when it dried, like plastic kind of, and it dried so fast I actually pulled polish off my nail by the time I got to the other half of my nail. But yes it dried with a weird finish and I thought "Oh, idk about this but it has all this pretty shimmer/glitter in the bottle I bet it'll pop when I do a top coat. But it still fell a little flat. But the other Jesse's Girl polishes I got to try weren't like that and I heart them.
