Making My Own Make Up Board...

 - This is the original picture I bought from Goodwill.  It was amusing on it's own, since it's so true.  I got it for 1.60.

It was a huge ordeal getting the metal sheet for the magnets to stick to.   Anyone planning to do this go to Ace NOT Menards, Menards was awful.

I am planning to spray paint the frame and probably do different paper or fabric on the sheet of metal, I'm just trying to save funds so I stuck with paper I had and figured I could always spray paint later.

I left a space blank I'm waiting til I find an awesome picture to put there.

I have had a few things fall out, but that's because of the glue I used (it was cheap) and not because of the metal sheet or magnets.  At least I know that much, at some point I need to get better glue.
 - Sorry this shot is sideways.   Thanks Blogger.

I'm trying to put just some of my everyday stuff on here.   I don't really have a lot of everyday stuff honestly so I've added some shadows I figured could be go to stuff.   Mascara, primer, remover, etc.
 - Inside the little basket thing.  I got it at the dollar store.   I just kind of put brushes and other primers in here atm, I need to clean those brushes too, so sorry if they look a bit less than stellar.
- And a cute little piggy magnet I have, he guards the makeups.

My mom also made me a magnet I haven't put up yet.

Have you ever made a make up board?  I wanted to because I thought it'd be fun and because I know the apartment I'll be moving into is going to have like no bathroom space at all pretty much and I thought this would help.

Made A Lipstick Holder!

 - So I've been on the lipstick kick I mentioned and had wanted a holder, but I'm trying to save money and I'd found a YouTube video where someone made one.   I was still a little torn between a pretty tiered acrylic one an maybe making one.  But when I saw the cotton/qtip holder things at the Dollar Tree today, I took it as a sign, since I didn't think I'd ever seen them in there before.
So I dumped all the contents out and put them in ziplocks for use (840 qtips, 60 cotton squares, and 60 cotton balls) whenever I need them.  I tried picking those damn stickers off but they just wouldn't come off nicely, except for on like two.  Then I cut off the lids and hot glued them together.

I later also put clear packaging tape around them too since I don't trust that hot glue.   I intend to probably decorate the outside of these later on.
 - As you can see Leo wanted to help me.  But he didn't want to look at the camera.  He wasn't ready for his close up.

Six of these together should hold 96 lipsticks, four in each slot, I hadn't any problem (yet) fitting four in each slot.
- I swear I had more lipsticks than this.  I KNOW I do, I can even think of a certain one, two actually, but Idk where it is.  I swear this apartment just eats things when you're not looking.  It kind of made me sad to see how empty this is.   I almost only glued 4 together and then glued the other two together to maybe put other cosmetics in but I didn't.  Maybe I should have.  Although I'm sure I'll get a few more along the way and it'll slowly fill.  And in x amount of time you'll hear me complaining that I'm running out of room.

This last picture is the way it looks atm.  I do have a lipstick coming in the mail, and one in my purse I need to exchange.  So with the exception of two more, that's what I got for lipsticks, unless the other ones turn up.

100th Post.

 - I'd find a video for making your own display case which I decided to wing in making.  I have some before pictures I can;t get to upload atm so I'll have to post them at a later date with the video I'd found.   But this is what I made, it isn't perfect, but it's my first one.

And this is my 100th post, isn't that awesome?  Been doing this two and a half months now.  I just wish I had some more followers right now.
