BFTE - Stars & Stripes - Swatches And Looks...

These two shadows come from a small collection by BFTE coming out the 14th of June (will be on sale til the 5th of July), called Stars & Stripes. 

This is Brave.
This shade is a lovely white color with amazing blue sparkles, if there's one color I'd buy the whole collection for it is this one.  It is also amazing over darker colors, I haven't tried it on a black base yet but you can kind of see what I mean over Liberty in the last shot.

This is Freedom.
I would say Freedom is a reddish color with a bit of pink, lovely shade. 

This is Liberty.
Liberty is the perfect shade of blue, I love my blues, that's no mystery, and I do adore this hue of blue.

I really do love this combination.  The white and the blue, gorgeous together.

This is all three shades, Freedom on my main lid, with a bit of Liberty in the crease and Brave as a highlight.  Probably not the best picture of it, but was just trying it out after I did the shots of Freedom alone.

And this is the same combo I loved, but in reverse.  With Liberty on the main lid and Brave is in the crease, inner corner and highlight.

Brave is utterly even more gorgeous over Liberty.  These together, in any combination are divine.

All shades are over my usual Concrete Minerals primer and Darling Girl base in Fluff.

Temptation At Studio 54...

BROWS:
Revlon Color Stay brow.

EYES:
Concrete Minerals eyeshadow primer.
Darling Girl base in Fluff.
Main eye lid color is Medusa's Makeup eye dust in Studio 54.
Crease colors are a mixture of Shiro's War Of Five Armies and Full Of Craft.
Elf liner.
Essence I <3 Rock lower liner.
Maybelline Cat Eyes mascara.

LIPS:
Medusa's Makeup lip gloss in Temptation with the Studio 54 eye dust patted over the middle lower lip then blended together.

 This is my first time trying Medusa's Makeup (the eye dust was given to me for review, I simply paid shipping, the gloss was a bonus I wasn't expecting. <3).   Upon trying the eye dust I must say that I do really love the color.  I think it's better to pat the shade on then try and drag it.  Something odd I did notice about the eye dust was when I'd go to tap my brush off on the lid to knock any excess back into the lid it wouldn't go in the lid it literally was bouncing out.  And once when I went to pick some up with my brush, it literally moved away.  I think it was all due to static electricity, but it was kind of interesting.  I think it's also in part due to the shadow maybe being lighter in weight then say another shadow.  At least that's what I'm going with for why that would happen.  Light weight shadow and static electricity.

I want to try the eye dust with a more sticky base too, that could help it more as well, Medusa does sell a "Stick It" primer which I haven't tried but something stickier would probably be more beneficial for it.

Also another high point is ALL of their eye dusts (48 shades) are lip safe, so that's kind of awesome.  I like having options.

The gloss was nice.  Pretty shade.  Though it didn't seem to show up in my shots very well, but on my lips it does kind of sheer into being close to my own lip color.

 All in all I'd love to try more of Medusa's products.  Specifically their also have pressed shadows, lipsticks, primer, other eye dust shades, and they have a liner sealer, that intrigues me deeply.


I also got a sticker with my order.  Which made me probably happier then it should have.  I love stickers.  Specially makeup company stickers.  It immediately went on to my melmers.  Plus my order was wrapped and the wrapping was help with a little sticker that had knives on it - I managed to peel it off without ripping it.  It also went on to my melmers.  Yay for stickers.

Crown Brush HD Set...

Recently I received a brush set via iFabbo.  It's a brush set from Crown Brush, it comes in three four colors, purple, orange, white, and now red.  I was so pleased I did not get orange (least favorite color).  I did love the look of these brushes, with the white and blue.  I like that each brush is labeled.  The tweezers is a nice touch, though I found it to be useless, it wouldn't grab onto any hairs.   The brushes themselves were alright, I did have some shedding.   They were somewhat soft.  I honestly can't say I was overjoyed by these, I expected them to be better then they were since I felt like there is a lot of hype to go with Crown Brush.   Maybe other brushes from the brand are better then this set, I don't know, being that this is my first experience with Crown Brush.

Abbamart Get Your Crayon In Bad Girl...

 This lip crayon was sent to me by Abbamart to review.  I can't even tell you how happy I was to get this color, it's right up my alley.  It's called Bad Girl, which is also kind of perfect.

As for my experience with this product, I LOVED it, I can't say enough good things about it, I've tried numerous different kinds of lip crayon products, and this might take the cake for me.   And it is a perfect shade, I foresee myself wearing it a lot during the upcoming seasons, or really, just a lot in general no matter the season.

Also, this was my first time trying Abbamart and I must say I was not whatsoever disappointed, I look forward to trying other products in the future, the whole gamut.

So run don't walk is basically what I'm saying here.

Zoya Tru and Maisie, BFF's.

 - This is Zoya Tru with Maisie on top.  Sadly the sun really wasn't out when I was wearing this but I tried to get some good photos of it anyway.  I really loved the flakie, so gorgeous.  It was one layer of the flakie as well so it covers well.  Always a plus.  I'm not big on a sparse flakie myself.

CSN...

Some of you may remember when CSN asked me to do a review of their site and I got a lovely garnet ring.  Well I was recently contacted by the lovely Caitlin to do another one which I am extremely excited for!

So I was wandering around the site and I noticed you can buy a Eames lounge chair I don't know how I would have missed that before, that's pretty awesome.  It makes me think of the TV show "House"  since the chair in his office is a Eames just reupholstered.  And a dear friend of mine happens to have the set of stamps (as in postage) framed above his kitchen sink.  So yes Eames chair = totally awesome.

Sterling Silver Garnet Ring...

This is the product I choose for my item to review for CSN.

The only thing I wasn't very amused by was the shipping, the shipping for the ring on the site was free so that's awesome but maybe the fault is simply due to UPS.  But I placed my order Thanksgiving night.  It was estimated to arrive on or before the 2nd, and then was rescheduled out of nowhere to arrive on the 8th, I think it might have arrived on the 9th instead.  I was so excited for it so I was very unamused by the sudden shipping switch.

The only other thing I didn't like about the CSN website was while searching for what to get I'd fallen in love with an opal ring which was sadly sold out in my size (Christmas luck maybe).  So I told it to only show me rings in my size and it still would show me rings that were sold out in my size which only got my hopes up to crush them.  They do have a nice feature of emailing you when they do come back into stock though.

But I do like the ring very much I'm wearing it right now.

Where For Art Thou Julieanne...

 - This is Zoya's Julieanne nail polish that Joe got for me.  I wish I could have gotten a picture of it in the sunlight (But we're into Minnesota's winter now and it was already set by the time I got outside today) maybe I can get one tomorrow.

- It didn't go on quite as smooth as I would have liked, but maybe that fault was mine.   It looks a lot more alive in the bottle it seems kind of dark on my nails, or maybe just not quite as brilliant as it appeared in the bottles.  But also maybe once I get in the sun it'll appease me more.

...Elf  Waterproof Liner In Plum...

- Here's just the liner (was the day before).


- Elf waterproof eyeliner pen in Plum.

- I'd bought the liner in both black and plum, this was the second time I've bought them the first time I'd gotten them they were both entirely dried out and dd not work, so I sent an email to Elf and they sent me replacements and my free gift (They'd also forgotten the free gift in the first shipment), and I was happy to get them.  Then I went to try them and the plum worked (I actually thought it was black before I realized it was the plum version.  Then I went to try the black and that would be the gray line next to the plum.   It's dried out again and won't work and I feel it might be pointless to re email them about it since I already did it once.  And I figured I'd just review the one that did work.   It works quite nicely.  I do love it a lot.   

So would I suggest to buy it?

   Maybe at your own risk.  It's a lovely product but it seems likely you might get a dried out one, since I got three out of the four I ended up with.  But I will probably try and get a blue one when I do order again and hope for the best/knock on wood that it won't be dried out too.

   I also tried to ELF Eyelid Primer, I'd tried Urban Decay (not that I'm knocking their primer potion it worked amazingly well too but if I'm forking out the dough I'd rather save a little money, I think we all would) in the past and very much liked it and I heard this was a good dupe for it, so I figured I'd try it, I mean at a dollar you can't go wrong.  It worked amazingly well.   I put it on before the eyeshadow below and 8 hours later it still looked perfect.  Maybe I won't worry about buying Urban Decay's 18 dollar bottle of it when I could get a few of these and have plenty of funds left for some more awesome make up, which I'd certainly prefer, I think we all would, I mean yay make up.  So that I would suggest you buy, hell I insist, go now Buy It!

...Wet N Wild Eyeshadow Set...

- Wet N Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio In Don't Steal My Thunder.

 - I'd actually watched the make up video on the site for this trio.  Mine I didn't think came out quite as lovely as theirs did but she also did have a make up artist doing it for her, and I forgot to do any black under my eye.

  

- This is with flash.  And you can see the lipstick.   I think the lipstick is Think Pink, I didn't really like it.  First off it's not really my color, but I can ignore that part and as for the product it went on like a crayon, that's what it made me think of a crumbly crayon kind of.  And bits of colors just seem to roll into balls around the edge of my lips after like half an hour or so.  So I vote no on the lipstick, I wouldn't recommend it and I wouldn't get it again.

- This is without flash and just in the light in my bathroom so you can see my eyes better.  I didn't think I've done a very good job to start with but I guess it wasn't too bad.

I did get compliments on it *Smiles*

My review on the shadow, I liked it, I really do.  I would certainly buy it again too.  I really commend Wet N Wild with their new lines of products, they're amazing.   Mucho props to you Wet N Wild.   And as a side note thank you for making me a bit nostalgic for my oh so long ago teenager years, you were certainly along for the ride.

- No flash, but I am under a light.

  - This is "Sugar" the Natural Wear Lip Shimmer by Wet N Wild.   The first thing I noticed about it was that it feels a lot like the Burt's Bees I've had but for a slightly friendlier price tag at 1.99.  Plus I'm not always partial to Burt's Bees (Yea I'm sure I'm the only girl out there who's a little anti Burt's Bees.  I'm not sure what it is that just puts me off, maybe it's just too waxy for me) and this one I very much enjoyed and am looking forward to getting more colors.  Well done Wet N Wild!

- This is Morbid by Wet N Wild, this is my first time trying their new Craze nail polishes, it didn't go 

on quite as smoothly as 

I would have liked but 

it is a pretty color.

I'm enjoying it (and am eyeing a few more colors they have.)
